    How to Apply for Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) 2025 Recruitment

    With this, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) of the Federal Ministry of Interior invites applications from adequately qualified individuals for full-time appointment to the Vacant Position.

    Nigeria Immigration Service Recruitment Basic Requirements

    The Nigerian Immigration Service has announced the following prerequisites for interested candidates.

    • Applicants must be of Nigerian descent by birth.
    • A minimum of four credits in either WASSCE/GCE/NECO or NABTEB must be obtained in no more than two sittings. As a result, one of the credits must be in English.
    • In addition to the requirements listed above, applicants for tradesmen women must have an OND/Trade TCST/City and Guild Certificate. Details can be found on their website.
    • Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 22 for non-tradesmen women and between the ages of 18 and 26 for tradesmen women by June 1st 2025.
    • The candidate must not have any criminal convictions.
    • You must be physically, mentally, and medically fit.
    • Male applicants must be no taller than 1.65 metres, and female applicants must be no taller than 1.56 metres.
    • You are to print out a slip tagged: Photocard, Which should be presented at the screening centre.

    Applicants With Any of the Following Disabilities Need not Apply.

    • Impediment in speech (stammerer/dumb)
    • Gross malformation of teeth
    • Knocked knees
    • Bent knees
    • Bent arms/deformed hands/fracture
    • Defective eyesight (squint-eye, crossed eye, one-eyed and total blindness)
    • Amputation of any part of the physical body
    • Hearing impaired (deaf)
    • Hunched back
    • Obesity
    • Pregnancy
    • Bow legs
    • K-legs
    • Flat foot
    • Limb legs
    • Medical challenges and any other physical deformity not mentioned

    Computer Based Test

    Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a computer-based test. A suitable time and date will be informed to such individuals.

    • Job Title: Assistant Inspector of Immigration (AII) General Duty, Secretaries, and Other Specialized Fields, CONPASS 06
    • Location; Nigeria
    • Level: Inspectorate Cadre

    Academic Requirements

    • Applicant must possess NCE/ND obtained from a recognized institution.
    • Applicants must be between the ages of 18-26 years.

    General Requirements

    • Applicant must be Nigerian by birth.
    • Applicants must be medically fit and present a medical fitness certificate from a government hospital.
    • Applicants must be free from financial embarrassment.
    • Applicant must be between the ages of 18-30 years.
    • Applicant’s height must not be less than 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females.
    • Applicant’s chest measurement of not less than 0.87m for men.
    • Applicant must be of good character, not have been convicted of a criminal offence, and not be a secret society/cult member.

    Applicants With Any of the Following Disabilities Need not Apply

    • Impediment in speech (stammerer/dumb)
    • Gross malformation of teeth
    • Knocked knees

    • Limb legs
    • Bent arms/deformed hands/fracture

    • Location: Nigeria
    • Cadre: Superintendent

    Academic Requirements

    • Applicant must possess a minimum of a first degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
    • NYSC discharged certificate
    • Applicants must be between the ages of 18-30 years.

    General Requirements

    • The applicant must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
    • Applicants must be medically fit and provide a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.
    • Applicants must be financially self-sufficient.
    • The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 30.
    • Male applicants must be 1.65m tall, and female applicants must be 1.60m tall.
    • The applicant must be of good character, not have been convicted of a criminal offence, and not be a member of a secret society or cult.
    • Men must have a chest measurement of at least 0.87m.

    Applicants With Any of the Following Disabilities Need not Apply

    • Impediment in speech (stammerer/dumb)
    • Gross malformation of teeth
    • Knocked knees
    • Bent knees
    • Bow legs
    • K-legs
    • Flat foot
    • Limb legs

    There shall be computer-based tests for shortlisted candidates. Appropriate time and date shall be communicated to such persons.

    Job Title: Immigration Assistant III (IAIII) Artisans, CONPASS 03
    Location: Nigeria
    Level: Assistant Cadre

    Academic Requirements

    • Applicant must hold SSCE, NECO, GCE O/Level with a minimum of four(4) credits in not more than two sittings, which should include English and Maths.
    • Applicants must be between the ages of 18-25 years.

    General Requirements

    • The applicant must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
    • Applicants must be medically fit and provide a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.
    • Applicants must be financially self-sufficient.
    • The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 30.
    • Male applicants must be 1.65m tall, and female applicants must be 1.60m tall.
    • The applicant must be of good character, not have been convicted of a criminal offence, and not be a member of a secret society or cult.
    • Men must have a chest measurement of at least 0.87m.

    Note:

    • Any certificate or qualification that has not been declared, tendered, and accepted at the recruitment centre will not be accepted after the recruitment process.
    • Candidates should print the referee form, which must be completed and submitted during screening.
    • A duly filled and signed guarantor’s part of the application form, signed by officers not lower than the level of Chief Superintendent of Immigration (CSI) or its equivalents in the sister organisation, must be presented for screening.
