Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Horticulture under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above Universities include;
Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture, Mathematics, Geography, Economics, and Physics.

- FUNAAB does not accept Economics or Geography
O’Level Requirements
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Horticulture; You require;
Five SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, or Agric Science.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
- FUTMINNA requires five (5) SSC credit passes, including English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science, and any one (1) of Physics, Geography, or Economics. At least an ‘O’ level pass in Physics is required.
- FUNAAB requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. Candidates with ‘O’ level pass in Biology must possess ‘O’ level credit pass in Agricultural Science. It does not accept Agricultural Science in place of Biology.
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Horticulture if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one of Biology, Agric Science, Botany, and Zoology.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
- FUTMINNA accepts ND/HND, not below lower credit. Go to Course Faculty
