Higher National Diploma (HND) as it is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered at Osun state polytechnic, to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.
Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, also known as OSPOLY, is a tertiary learning institution in Iree, Osun State, Nigeria. The Polytechnic was formerly a satellite campus of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
It became autonomous on 12 October 1992 when the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji, Isiaka Adeleke, signed the law establishing the institution alongside The Osun State College of Technology located at Esa-Oke in Osun State.
Osun State Polytechnic Iree also has Daily Part-Time Program (DPT) which is located at the Koko campus.
To study Science Laboratory Technology, candidates must meet the following requirements.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Science Laboratory Technology, You require;
- Mathematics and two subjects from:
- Physics,
- Biology/Agricultural Science/Health Science,
- Chemistry,
- And two other subjects from Technical Drawing,
- Metal or Wood Work, Basic Electricity,
- Geography,
- Further Mathematics,
- and Fine Art.
- At least a credit pass in each of the three basic sciences – Biology,
- Chemistry,
- Physics and a credit pass English Language are compulsory.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Science Laboratory Technology under the Faculty of Sciences in the above Universities include; Any three of Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, or Physics.
