The University is proud to announce its inclusion among approximately 30 tertiary institutions, and tuition centers granted accreditation and recognition by the ICAN at its Victoria Island Office in Lagos on Thursday.

This recognition allows students of the University to attain a B.Sc degree in Accounting, augmented by an ICAN certificate, and grants exemptions from select ICAN subjects, underscoring the institution’s status as a recognized training center.

Furthermore, as a designated center for ICAN examinations, Chrisland University is well-equipped to administer a Top-Up program catering to individuals holding an existing ICAN certificate who aspire to obtain a B.Sc degree.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Peace Babalola, conveyed gratitude on behalf of the recognized institutions, acknowledging ICAN’s discernment in accrediting qualified tertiary institutions and tuition centers nationwide.

Prof Babalola appreciated ICAN’s support, including book donations, and commended the institute’s enduring commitment to excellence and integrity for over 50 years.

In her keynote address, ICAN President Mrs. Comfort Olu Eyitayo explained that the accreditation/recognition program aims to uphold quality standards in the preparatory training, instructor delivery, and instructional facilities, recognizing the pivotal role these factors play in grooming proficient professionals.

She emphasized that the accreditation aligns with the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) global standards, mirroring those on which ICAN examinations are based.

Extending congratulations to the qualified institutions and tuition centers, Mrs. Eyitayo urged them to maintain high standards in their accounting courses, consistent with ICAN’s mission.

    Conclusion

This achievement underscores Chrisland University’s commitment to excellence in its accredited programs, and we encourage readers to stay tuned to this blog for more information about the university.
