SHE-CAN (Supporting Her Education Changes A Nation) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women from post-conflict and developing countries through higher education.
The programme partners with leading U.S. colleges and universities to provide full scholarships, mentorship, leadership development, and career preparation. Scholars become part of a global network of women committed to creating positive change in their home countries.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- Full tuition scholarship.

- IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, or ACT preparation classes.

- Round-trip airfare between home country and the United States.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be female.
- Be between 17 and 20 years old.
- Be a citizen of Cambodia, Liberia, or Guatemala.
- Be graduating from high school by June 2027 or already have completed high school.
- Come from a low-income household.
- Intend to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in the United States.
- Have completed less than one year of university or post-secondary education.
- Demonstrate leadership in their school or community.
- Be academically outstanding, with strong class rankings and national examination results.
- Demonstrate strong English language proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, or equivalent.
- Be available to participate full-time in the SHE-CAN pre-college programme from January to June.
- Have reliable daily access to a computer and stable internet connection.
- Be able to travel to the designated interview location if shortlisted.
