About the Swansea University Research Scholarship

The scholarship supports a PhD research project investigating next-generation nanobody engineering for precision targeting in ovarian cancer.

The project is supervised by Professor Deya Gonzalez of Swansea University and Professor Chih-Chi Andrew Hu of the Houston Methodist Neal Cancer Center. The research focuses on developing engineered nanobodies capable of overcoming biological and physical barriers that currently limit antibody-based therapies for solid tumours.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a UK or international applicant.
• Hold, or expect to obtain, a first-class undergraduate degree (or international equivalent), or
• Hold a 2:1 undergraduate degree together with a Distinction at master’s level (or international equivalent).
• Meet Swansea University’s English language requirement, including an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with no component below 6.5 (or an approved equivalent).
