University of Hull Scholarship Details

The University of Hull is offering two Graduate Teaching Assistant positions starting in September 2026. Successful candidates will undertake full-time PhD research while working part-time as Graduate Teaching Assistants.

The positions are based in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, where students will have access to research and teaching facilities.

The assistantship is designed to provide doctoral researchers with both research and higher education teaching experience. The university also highlights opportunities for graduates to progress into permanent academic or research positions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Hold at least a 2:1 undergraduate degree in Sport and/or Exercise Science, Sports Rehabilitation, or an equivalent discipline.
• Demonstrate good attainment in an undergraduate research project or thesis.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Be able to work independently.
• Demonstrate strong motivation to undertake PhD research.
• Be prepared to undertake research within one of the specified doctoral projects.
