Caleb University Secures NUC Accreditation for MBA and Six Undergraduate Programmes

Caleb University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program and six undergraduate degree programs have received renewed accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

This renewal underscores the university’s commitment to academic excellence and its steadfast dedication to delivering high-quality education to students in Nigeria.

The Accreditation Process

The renewal of accreditation by the National Universities Commission was the outcome of an assessment visit carried out in November and December of 2024, as stated in a release by the university.

The confirmation of the renewal of full accreditation for the university’s programs was signed by Arc. S.S. Ikani, the Deputy Director of Programme Accreditation.

The Accredited Programmes

The full accreditation renewed by the NUC screens the following degree programs.

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry
  • Moreover, full accreditation was received by the Psychology program

Emphasis on Timely Doctorate Degree Completion

Vice-Chancellor Professor Nosa Owens-Ibie emphasized the importance of postgraduate students striving to complete their doctoral programs within three years.

He further urged departments to facilitate the graduation of postgraduate degree students within the same timeframe, fostering productivity in their academic pursuits.


Global Academic Benchmark Evaluation

In a post-field presentation for postgraduate degrees featuring three individuals, the presentations were evaluated using global academic benchmarks and criteria.;

The Department of Architecture, Professor Adedeji Daramola, the Professor of Architecture, the Academic Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and a team of foreign assessors from the UK.

This collaborative effort aims to elevate the quality of postgraduate degree work at Caleb University and align it with global standards.
