Eligibility Criteria

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution that meets the University of Manchester’s admission requirements
  • Have completed their bachelor’s degree before September 2025
  • Have at least two years of relevant professional work experience (volunteer work and unpaid internships are not accepted)
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to returning to their home country after completing the program
  • Show clear potential to contribute to sustainable development at the community, national, or regional level
  • Explain how studying at the University of Manchester will support both their career goals and their country’s development
  • Not have previously studied outside Africa, except for training programs lasting six months or less

How to Apply

To apply for the Equity and Merit Scholarships:
