    Looking for a summer job that’s fun by the waterfront and gets you access to one of Toronto’s most iconic events? Come join our team at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).

    The CNE, often affectionately called The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of North America’s top ten agricultural fairs. With something for everyone, our event offers various attractions and interactive entertainment experiences, including concerts, midway rides and games, shopping exhibits, tech and gaming hubs, food, and wacky treats!

    The CNE fair is a cherished tradition, attracting approximately 1.5 million visitors annually over its 18-day run. Join this summer tradition and help us inspire Canadians and create memories.

    Program Schedule

    • August 4 to August 15: CNE HorseCapades
    • August 16 to September 2: CNE AgVenture

    Responsibilities

    • Set up and tear down activity stations
    • Demonstrate program activities to guests.
    • Encourage guests to interact with the activities.
    • Supervise activities
    • Check activity supplies to ensure adequate availability/quantity and restock when necessary.
    • Ensure that program areas are properly maintained and presentable at all times
    • Answer basic questions from the general public regarding programming, attractions, facilities, and services.

    Required Skills

    • Friendly disposition
    • Responsible Attitude (as young kids are in your care)
    • Ability to communicate with a variety of age levels
    • Patient
    • Energetic
    • Customer Service-oriented
    • Able to work with minimal supervision

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum Age Requirement: 14 years
    • G2 class license is an asset (for one specific station during AgVenture)
    • Experience working with young children in a group setting is preferred
    • Available to work the entire duration of the event except for scheduled days off
    • Available to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends
    • Available to attend a mandatory orientation session

    Special Skills

    • Ability to stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods
    • Located in a busy area
    • Must be comfortable working in the presence of animals and barnyard smells
    • Ability to engage positively with children and their caregivers
    • Required to dress in an appropriate uniform
