Mental Health Technician – Logan Health Behavioral Health (Day Shift)

Logan Health Behavioral Health (formerly Pathways Treatment Center), a department of Logan Health Medical Center located in Kalispell, Montana, began its high standard of care when it opened its doors in 1994. We provide acute inpatient services for Montana clients who have mental health or substance abuse issues.

The 40-bed facility offers clinically effective treatment through the collaborative efforts of a team that includes psychiatrists, addictionologists, certified licensed addiction counselors, licensed therapists, psychiatric nurses, and mental health specialists. Each staff member is dedicated to delivering results-oriented treatment in a caring and confidential environment.

This position provides care, treatment, and supervision of patients/clients and documents behavior. It implements treatment plans, provides crisis intervention, and promotes and maintains a positive therapeutic environment as applicable to the assigned area(s).

Qualifications

• Restrictive to more restrictive interventions based on De-escalation training.
• Stimulates patient/client’s interest and cooperation in various individual and/or group activities and programs. Performs positive interactions, instruction, oversight, feedback, and encouragement.
• Identifies at-risk patients or clients and develops a safety plan based on assessments as needed. Relays information and/or issues to appropriate stakeholders.
• Oversees patients/clients in aspects of their day, including school, therapy groups, and recreational activities applicable to assigned area(s).
• Assesses patients/clients identifies dynamics and diagnostic elements and provides therapy as indicated to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment as applicable to assigned area(s).

Schedule

Rotating weekend shifts is required. Logan Health operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Schedules are set to accommodate the position’s requirements and the organization’s needs and may be adjusted as needed.
