Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be an international student (citizens of Australia and New Zealand are not eligible).
- Have completed, or expect to complete, a research-based Master’s degree by 2026.
- Be applying for a Master of Research, Master of Philosophy (MPhil), or PhD programme.
- Be available to study full-time.
- Meet Macquarie University’s admission requirements for higher degree research programmes.
- Demonstrate previous research experience.
- Include any published research work as part of the application, where applicable.
- Have presented research at academic conferences (where applicable).
- Meet the University’s English language proficiency requirements.
- Be assessed according to the Macquarie University Higher Degree Research (HDR) Scholarship Rating Criteria and Research Training Program Scholarship Policy.
