The Palmquist Lab at Marshall University is currently recruiting candidates for a funded Master’s research position focused on climate change and fire effects on coastal vegetation.
The research will examine vegetation changes over time and space while investigating how ecological processes shape plant communities under changing environmental conditions.
The selected student will study the effects of sea-level rise, increased storm surge, and prescribed fire on coastal vegetation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island (MCRDPI), a sea island located in South Carolina.
