    Nigerian Polytechnics Offering Horticulture & Landscape Engineering 2026

    The priority of the Horticulture & Landscape Engineering faculty is to educate professionals in horticultural production, fruit growing, vegetable and flower growing, garden design, landscaping, environmental protection, and rural construction.

    Entry Requirements

    Subject Combination / UTME Requirements

    • English Language

    O’Level Requirements

    The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Horticulture include the following:

    Five SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, or Agric Science.

    Direct Entry Requirements

    Below is the condition you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Horticulture if you don’t intend to use UTME.

    • Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one of Biology, Agric Science, Botany, and Zoology.

    Conclusions

    Horticulture & Landscape Engineering is a very important career path to pursue; aside from farm jobs, the horticultural sector also provides off-farm employment, particularly for women.
