Obafemi Awolowo University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in specialization spanning the humanities, the arts, the natural sciences, the social sciences, the medical sciences, engineering, and technology.
The university has 13 faculties and two colleges the Postgraduate College and the College of Health Sciences — administered in more than 60 departments. It was previously associated with Loma Linda University in California, USA.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Architecture; You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, and Further. Mathematics., Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying/Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors, and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching, and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Architecture under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;
Physics, Mathematics, and any of Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology, and Economics.

Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Architecture if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts.

JAMB Score
