O’level Subject Combinations
Candidates who wish to study English Language at the University Of Ibadan (UI) must possess Five ‘O’ level subjects in one sitting or 6 ‘O’ level subjects in two sittings, including the English Language, two Arts subjects including Literature-in-English and any other two or three subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Science.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
English Language and two Arts subjects, including Literature in English and any other from Arts or Social Sciences.
UI JAMB Cut-Off Mark
Generally, For any candidate to be admitted into the University Of Ibadan (UI) for any course, the candidate must score 200 and above in jamb. That is to say that the University Of Ibadan (UI) JAMB Cut-Off mark is 200.
UI Department Of English Language Departmental Cut-Off Mark
The UI Department of English Language Departmental Cut Off Mark is 240. That is to say that, Candidates who seek admission to the University Of Ibadan (UI) Department of English Language must score 240 and above in the school UTME Screening exercise.
