The university runs regular degree, diploma, and postgraduate programs. Its location in the Federal Capital Territory has a Centre for Distance Learning School, which provides university education to those who cannot acquire such education.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Mathematics; You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and Physics or Chemistry.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
- UNIABUJA accepts five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent), including English, Mathematics, and any other three subjects, preferably Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Geography in that order
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Mathematics under the Faculty of Sciences in the above Universities include;
Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, and Economics or Geography.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
- UNIABUJA accepts Biology as one of the other two subjects.

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Mathematics if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other science subject.
- NCE merit in Mathematics and one (1) in Physics, Chemistry, or Economics
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
- UNIABUJA accepts Two Level Credit Passes in Mathematics and either Physics and /or Chemistry OR NCE (minimum 10 points) with Credit Passes in Mathematics and another Science subject OR ND with Upper Credit in a relevant discipline in addition to the ‘O’ level requirements.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA for the 2025/2026 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
