About The University of Calabar
The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, Nigeria’s south-south region. In 1975, the university was established.
The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body. All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.

O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Industrial Chemistry include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Biology or Agricultural Science
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Chemistry
- Mathematics any one subject below:
- Physics
- Biology
- Agricultural Science
Direct Entry Requirement For Industrial Chemistry
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Mathematics
- ND in Science Technology or ND in relevant programmes with the UTME requirements
JAMB Score
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Calabar, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
