This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) that the Department of Economics admission requirements have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Economics include the following:
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two of Arts or Social Science subjects.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language.
- Economics
- Mathematics and any Government, History, Geography, Lit-in-English, French, and CRK/IRK
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Economics if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agric Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
