Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Zoology include the following:
Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and two (2) other science subjects.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIJOS requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and one other Science subject.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language.
- Biology and any two subjects from below:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Zoology if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes or NCE in Biology, Zoology, or Botany and one other Science subject
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNN accepts:
- Two ‘A’ level GCE/HSC passes in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Zoology plus UTME requirement.
- A degree in relevant fields plus UTME requirements, HND, and NCE credit pass is acceptable.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIJOS for the 2025/2026 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 180 or above in your JAMB result.
