Graduating students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) are to make payment for their academic gowns in preparation for the forthcoming convocation ceremony.
UNILAG Convocation Fee Payment
Graduating students are to make payments for the 2025/2026 Convocation Ceremonies in accordance with the guidelines given below:
Mandatory Payments
- First Degree: ₦10,500
- Master’s Degree, M.Phil, PGD: ₦15,000
- Doctorate Degree: ₦15,000
UNILAG Convocation Academic Outfits Payment
Convocation gowns and caps can be hired or purchased at the following rates:
- First Degree: ₦15,000 (Purchase) and ₦5,000 (Hiring)
- Masters Degree, M.Phil, PGD: ₦20,000 (Purchase) and ₦5,000 (Hiring)
- Doctorate Degree: ₦40,000 ( Purchase)

Procedure for Returning UNILAG Academic Outfit
The deadline set for the return of the various UNILAG academic outfits is April 12th 2025.
Those individuals who return the outfits before the deadline are entitled to a refund of ₦2,500. Those who do not meet the deadline must bear the purchasing cost for the outfits before they can be cleared.
Collection of Certificates
Graduating students of the University are to collect their certificates within three months of convoking. The inability to meet this requirement attracts daily demurrage of ₦50.

Before payments are made, graduating students must visit the UNILAG payment portal to fill out the form under the student category.

The registration fee for the UNILAG Alumni Association is ₦2,000 for First Degree graduands and ₦2,500 for Postgraduate students.
