In this article, we will list the necessary requirements candidates must meet to study Chemistry at Lagos State University, ranging from O’level subject combination, JAMB Score and Post UTME Score, and departmental cut-Off mark.
To study Chemistry, candidates must meet the following requirements.
O’Level Subject Combination
Below is the O’level Requirement for Chemistry (UTME CANDIDATES)
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
JAMB Subject Combination
Note that Subject that has asterisks (*) attached to it is COMPULSORY. It would be best if you chose either of the italicized subjects.
English Language(*), Chemistry(*), and two (2) of Physics, Biology, and Mathematics.

Direct Entry Requirement For Chemistry
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one (1) in Physics, Mathematics, or Biology.
- ND/NCE with good grades in relevant ‘O’ level subjects.
PHC, ABSU, and IMSU do not accept Direct Entry Candidates.
JAMB Score
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.
