This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Department of Adult Education admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Adult Education include five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics and three (3) of Literature in English, History, French, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Studies, Geography/Physics, Economics, and Government or TC II with a pass in English Language and four (4) other subjects.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Government/History, one (1) Social Science subject, and any other subject.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Adult Education if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes.
- NCE merit in two (2) subjects.
Special Requirement (Waiver) Remarks
UNIMAID accepts ND/HND at the credit level.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIMAID for the 2024/2025 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a score of a minimum of 160 or above in your JAMB result.
