UNIUYO has announced its closure for academic activities during the upcoming Easter public holidays on Friday, April 7, 2025 (Good Friday), and Monday, April 10, 2025 (Easter Monday).

Following the declaration of public holidays by the Federal Government to mark the resurrection and death of Jesus Christ by the Christian religion.
Closure Approval and Announcement
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, in a statement to the university community, stated that no academic engagement or official duty should be held on these days, allowing faculty, staff, and students to take part in the celebration of Easter.
Essential Services and Alternative Arrangements
Staff members on important services will continue to perform their duties as scheduled while the university is closed.
Prof. Ndaeyo has notified Heads of Departments to make alternative arrangements for such staff so that they won’t miss the celebration of Easter.
Resumption of Normal Work
On Tuesday, April 11, 2025, academic activities at UNIUYO will resume fully following the Easter public holidays.
The university community is advised to take advantage of this break to take part in religious ceremonies and spend time with families and loved ones before the resumption of their regular activities.
