O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Home Economics and Education; You require;
Five (5) ‘O’ Level NTC/NBC credit passes or TC II merit including English Language, Mathematics, Home Economics, Biology, and Chemistry.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Home Economics and Education under the Faculty of Education in the above Universities include;
Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and one other subject.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Home Economics and Education if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- NCE merit in Home Economics
- ‘A’ Level passes in two (2) of Chemistry or any Biology, Botany, and Agricultural Science.
- ND/HND credit in Home Economics or Food Science Hotel and Catering Management or any other related program
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into OAU for the 2025/2026 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
