O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Industrial Chemistry; You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/Agricultural Science.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Industrial Chemistry under the Faculty of Sciences in the above Universities include;
Chemistry, Mathematics, and any Physics/Biology/ Agricultural Science.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Industrial Chemistry if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Mathematics
- ND in Science Technology or ND in relevant programs with the UTME requirements
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into OAU for the 2026/2027 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
Chemistry and Mathematics Carry OAU Industrial Chemistry
Chemistry and Mathematics are the constants here. At O level you need five SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and either Biology or Agricultural Science.
The UTME combination keeps Chemistry and Mathematics and lets you choose between Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science. Direct Entry asks for two A level passes in Chemistry and Mathematics, or an ND in Science Technology or a relevant programme with the UTME requirements. The JAMB score needed is 200.
