    Mississippi Scholarship

    Resources gotten from the Institute for College Access and Success in 2018, schools in Mississippi are very expensive. It was stated that in 2017, 58% of students were indebted to several Mississippi schools.

    The Mississippi government has taken it upon itself to provide for students who cannot afford the exorbitant school fees.

    These scholarship programs are designed and arranged by the Mississippi Board of Trustees.

    Furman University Charles H. Townes Scholarship

    This scholarship is available for U.S. high school seniors who live outside of South Carolina and plan to attend Furman University.

    Students must show high academic achievement and a strong commitment to civic leadership and community service.

    ARRL Mississippi Scholarship

    This scholarship is for radio personalities under 30 years who live in and are students of a Mississippi college.

    Awardees must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics, communications and other related fields.

    Fred R. McDaniel Memorial Scholarship

    This scholarship is offered to a licensed radio amateur with a general class or higher license who is a resident of and attends an institution in the FCC 5th Call District.

    Students must be studying electronics, communications, or related fields; preference will be given to students with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

    Jackson County ARA Scholarship

    This scholarship is open to international and U.S. undergraduate and graduate studies that are licensed radio amateurs.

    Students must reside in Mississippi or, if no eligible Mississippi students apply, residents of the ARRL Delta Division (AR, LA, MS, TN).

    Jake McClain Driver KC5WXA Scholarship

    This scholarship is open to international and U.S. licensed radio amateurs (technical class or higher) who can provide at least one QLSL card received within the past 12 months.

    Students must reside in the ARRL Delta Division (AR, LA, MS, TN) and study electronics, computers, or journalism.

    Magnolia DX Association Scholarship

    This scholarship is open to both U.S. and foreign students who have licensed radio amateurs (technician class or higher) and reside in Mississippi or the ARRL Delta Division (AR, LA, TN). Students must attend a postsecondary institution in Mississippi.

    Preference will be given to graduating high school students (seniors).

    This award is for male U.S. high school seniors who are Future Farmers of America members.

    The student must be pursuing a four-year degree in any area of agriculture and plan to attend a university with an active Alpha Gamma Rho chapter.

    United States high school seniors and currently enrolled students pursuing a two- or four-year degree in select agricultural majors are eligible for this award.

    Students must be members of the FFA, have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, and reside in one of the 48 contiguous United States.

    This award is available for U.S. high school seniors that are members of the Future Farmers of America and residents of one of the eligible states.

    This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who are members of Future Farmers of America and pursuing a two- or four-year degree in select areas of agriculture, communications, education, management, sales, science, and technology.

    Applicants must live on a family farm, have a grade point average of 3.0 and higher, and rank in the top 50% of the class.

    Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. Scholarship

    This award is available for current Future Farmers of America members pursuing a four-year degree in agricultural engineering or agricultural science/technology.

    Applicants have to be residents of one of the following states: Alabama, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Texas, or West Virginia.

    The deadline for this scholarship is 14th January.
