Fisheries at the University of Lagos is a science programme, and its requirements treat Biology and Agricultural Science as interchangeable at both the O’Level and UTME stages.
The University of Lagos is a federal government research institution in southwest Nigeria. Its JAMB score condition applies to every department, so the figure given further down this page is institutional rather than departmental.

In terms of admissions, the university has continued to rank among the best in the nation. The number of students at UNILAG is among the highest at any university in the nation.

JAMB Score
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.
Biology or Agricultural Science Will Both Work for UNILAG Fisheries
The O’Level requirement is five SSCE credit passes in Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and English, plus any other science subject. The first slot accepts either subject, which is unusual.
The UTME combination repeats that flexibility. English Language is compulsory, Chemistry is fixed, Biology or Agricultural Science fills the third place, and the fourth may be any other science subject.
Mathematics is required at O’Level but does not appear in the UTME combination. A candidate still needs the credit even though the paper is not sat again at UTME.
Direct Entry is by far the widest route. Two ‘A’ level passes are accepted from Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Agric Science, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology and Economics, and an NCE in Agriculture is also recognised.
The JAMB score condition is 200 and above for admission to any department at the University of Lagos.
