    2025/2026 Lagos State University (LASU) Indigeneship Verification Exercise: Key Information And Dates

    Lagos State University (LASU) is announcing the commencement of its Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2025/2026 academic year.

    This is an important exercise for prospective students who are indigenes of Lagos State and who selected LASU as their first choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

    Please note that participation in the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not serve as proof of admission into LASU.

    How to Apply

    Candidates are required to make a payment online via this link to initiate the application process.

    General Information

    Only candidates of Lagos State origin are eligible for the screening exercise. These candidates must be cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) before they can be considered for admission.

    The verification interview will take place at the following locations:

    • Ikeja Division: First Floor, L & H Building, Faculty of Arts
    • Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education
    • Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
    • Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
    • Epe Division: School of Transport

    Previous applicants from the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions who have not been offered admission will need to revalidate their indigeneship clearance certificates online at LASU’s official website, which will require payment.

    In addition, all Direct Entry applicants of Lagos State origin must participate in this Indigeneship Verification Exercise to be considered for admission.

    LASU urges candidates to make payments only through the official link provided. Any payments made to individual accounts or through other methods may result in disqualification and loss of funds. Only candidates who scored 195 and above in the 2023 UTME are eligible to apply for this exercise.
