About the European Wasatia Graduate School Scholarship
The European Wasatia Graduate School for Peace and Conflict Resolution brings together emerging researchers committed to advancing scholarship on justice, reconciliation, and sustainable peace.
The programme provides an interdisciplinary, transnational, and multi-religious research framework that explores political transformation, truth, justice, and conflict resolution, with a particular emphasis on comparative studies involving the Middle East.
Successful applicants will begin the doctoral programme on January 1, 2027.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate excellent academic performance in a relevant discipline, including:

- Political Science
- Sociology
- Philosophy
- Literature
- Media Studies
- Economics
- Middle East Studies
- Religious Studies
- Law
- Or other related Social Science fields.
- Hold a Master’s degree (M.A. or equivalent) obtained within the last five years (exceptions may be considered).
- Show a strong interest in interdisciplinary and international research collaboration.
- Be willing to reside in Flensburg throughout the duration of the doctoral programme.
