Admission Requirements for Economics and Development Studies
WAEC/NECO Subject Combination
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Economics and Development Studies is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, Economics, English Language, and two other Social Sciences/Art subjects.
JAMB Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Economics and Development Studies under the Faculty of Social & Management Science at FUGASHUA include;
Mathematics, Economics, and one other subject from any of the following; Government, History, Geography, Lit-in-English, French, and CRK/IRK.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Economics and Development Studies if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Economics and one other Art/Social science subject.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUGASHUA for the 2025/2026 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
