The GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2027 offers international students the opportunity to pursue a fully funded two-year Master’s degree through a consortium of universities in Europe, the United Kingdom, Japan and Colombia.
The Global Markets, Local Creativities (GLOCAL) programme is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree that explores the relationship between global markets, local economies and cultural development.
Selected Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipients receive full tuition coverage, insurance, a monthly subsistence allowance of β¬1,400 for the duration of the programme, and a contribution towards travel and installation costs.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the 2027 GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, applicants should meet the following requirements:
Academic Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Meet the University of Glasgow’s country-specific academic requirements.
- Have an academic background that meets the requirements of the selected GLOCAL study track.
- Meet the programme’s admission requirements.
English Language Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the required English language proficiency level set by the University of Glasgow.
Applicants should check the current English language requirements for their specific circumstances and programme.
Benefits of the GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2027
Successful Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipients will receive:
- Full tuition fee coverage for the programme, including the required deposit.
- Full insurance coverage.
- β¬1,400 monthly subsistence allowance throughout the two-year programme.
- A contribution towards student travel and installation costs.
- Support for practical mobility-related expenses such as visas, residence permits and temporary accommodation.
The travel and installation contribution is intended to help with mobility costs and should not be interpreted as unlimited reimbursement of all travel expenses.
How to Apply for the GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2027
Applicants must apply for the GLOCAL Master’s programme through the University of Glasgow.
The application process works as follows:
- Review the GLOCAL programme and available study tracks.
- Check the University of Glasgow admission requirements for your country and academic background.
- Submit an application to the University of Glasgow.
- Upload all required academic and supporting documents.
- Ensure that you receive a conditional or unconditional offer before the Erasmus Mundus scholarship deadline.
- Submit the required scholarship information through the University of Glasgow application system.
- Make sure your application is complete by January 7, 2027.
Applicants do not need to submit separate applications for admission to the programme and the Erasmus Mundus scholarship. The programme and scholarship applications are submitted through the University of Glasgow’s online application system.
Applicants whose offer is still marked as “holding for documents” at the scholarship deadline will not be considered for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
Applicants must also not have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s scholarship.
Following the deadline, applications will be assessed and ranked. Scholarships will be offered to the highest-ranked eligible applicants. A reserve list will also be maintained.
