The results of all candidates who participated in the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination have been released. Here is how to check it.
The National Examination Council (NECO), has released the results of candidates that sat for the 2022 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE).
The entrance examination was conducted for admission into the JSS 1 of the 104 unity schools across the country.
Parents can now check the results of their children and wards at the state ministries of education and NECO’s website.
You can access the common entrance result online by following the procedures outlined below.
How to Check Common Entrance Exam Results Online
- Go to the NECO results portal.
- Select the exam year, i.e. 2022.
- Select exam type, i.e. National Common Entrance Examination.
- Supply your registration number in the required column.
- Finally, click on the Check Result button to access the common entrance exam result.
ALTERNATIVELY
- Go to the NCEE registration portal.
- Login by supplying your Email/Phone Number and Password in the required columns.
- Click On Registered Candidates ›› Select Completed ›› then Click on Respective Registered Candidates to view the result.

Common Entrance Exam Result Statistics
The Federal Government announced the results of the 2022 National Common Entrance Examination for Unity Schools on Monday.
The government stated that all admissions to Junior Secondary School (JSS 1) college classes would be completed on or before July 1.
Lagos State had the most students registered for the exam, with 19,518 students.
The Federal Capital Territory came in second with 8,623 students, and Anambra came in third with 5,335 students.
Education Minister Adamu Adamu announced at a press conference in Abuja yesterday after receiving the results from the Registrar of the National Examinations Council, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi.
Adamu, who was represented by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, David Adejo Andrew, said Ajidagba Akanke, a Sokoto State indigene, had the highest score of 201.
In contrast, Obot Abundance Idara, an Akwa Ibom State indigene, came second with 200 marks.
The FCT came in second with 8,623 registered candidates, of which 8,317 sat, and 306 were absent.
“Anambra State finished third with 5,335 registered candidates, of which 5,070 sat and 265 were absent.” Zamfara State came in fourth place with 4,500 candidates registered, of which 3,745 sat and 755 did not.
“The candidate who received the highest marks is Ajidagba Akanke, a Sokoto State native with registration number 542121DG.” Her school was Oshodi Junior Secondary School, Tolu Complex, Apapa, Lagos, and she received a 201.
“Obot Idara, an Akwa Ibom State native with registration number 550470BF, came in second.” Her centre was State College Ete’s Ikot Ekpene Centre, and she received a score of 200.
While urging parents/guardians to visit the NECO website for details on their children’s results, Adamu stated that the admission criteria for qualified candidates into colleges are: 60% merit, 30% Equality of State, and 10% Exigency.
