Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Scholarships

  • Applicants must have a minimum of Seven (7) Distinctions (As & Bs) in WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) in subjects relevant to their chosen field, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Certificates should be no more than two (2) years old (2022 & 2023) for non-African countries and one year old (2023) for African countries.
  • Age limit: 17 to 20 years.

Postgraduate Scholarships

  • Applicants must hold a First Degree with 1st Class or at least 2nd Class Upper Division.
  • Completion of the NYSC Programme is mandatory.
  • Age limit: 35 years for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D.

General Notes

  • Applicants for scholarships in BEA countries where English is not the primary language should be prepared to undertake a mandatory one-year foreign language course in the chosen country, which will serve as the standard medium of instruction.
