The Ijagun, Ogun State-based Tai-Solarin University of Education (TASUED) is currently taking applications for admission to its postgraduate programs for the 2025/2026 academic session.

General Admission Requirements
All applicants seeking admission to any of these programs must have completed the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WAEC//NECO/SSC/GCE O/L) administered by recognized examining bodies such as

- National Examination Council
- National Business and Technical Education Board
- the University of London
- The University of Cambridge, etc.,
With a minimum of five (5) credits, including the English Language (in no more than two (2) sittings.
Specific Programme Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)Programmes
Candidates for the Postgraduate Diploma Program must have at least a Third Class in their undergraduate degree or a Lower Credit in their Higher National Diploma (HND).
Postgraduate Diploma In Education (PGDE) Programme
Regardless of their DEGREE or DIPLOMA class, university degree holders OR HND graduates who are now teaching or want to pursue teaching as a vocation
Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
Combined with the Master in Education (M.Ed)/Arts Education (M.A Ed)/Science Education (M.Sc Ed) Programme
Holders of a bachelor’s degree in their field of study with at least Second Class Honours (Lower Division) from Tai Solarin University of Education in Ijagun or another university approved by the university senate.
Candidates with third-class bachelor’s degrees OR HND with at least Lower Credit who also hold a postgraduate diploma in their field of study.
Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
- Executive Programme
- Only accessible to part-time students
- Candidates must hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Third Class or a lesser Credit.
Master’s Programmes
Graduates with at least Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in their field of study from Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, or other universities approved by the University Senate.
Candidates with Postgraduate Diplomas in the same subject and Third Class Bachelor’s Degrees.
Candidates holding a Postgraduate Diploma in the course and an HND (Minimum of Lower CREDIT) qualified.
Sixth-degree philosopher (Ph.D.)
- For the straight PhD program, each applicant must hold a Master’s degree in their field of specialization and have a minimum GPA of 4.0.
- You can also apply if your Master’s program has a CGPA of 3.50 to 3.99. These applicants must go through the conversion process into a complete PhD program.
- Candidates should be aware that their cumulative grades, whether measured in percentages, a 7-point scale, or any other grading scheme, will be recalculated on a 5-point scale to determine their status.
Special Course Requirements
Candidates must have earned credit in Mathematics, English Language, and Economics at the WASCE, NECO, or GCE Ordinary Level to pursue a Master’s or PhD in Educational Management. Additionally, they must possess an education certificate.
Candidates must have earned credit passes in mathematics and English language at the WASCE, NECO, or GCE Ordinary Level to pursue a Master’s or PhD in counselling psychology. Additionally, they must possess an education certificate.
Candidates must have earned credit in English language and mathematics at the WASCE, NECO, or GCE Ordinary Level to pursue a Master’s or PhD in Educational Media and Technology. Additionally, they must possess an education certificate.
Candidates must have earned credit in English language and mathematics at the WASCE, NECO, or GCE Ordinary Level to pursue a Master’s or PhD in educational evaluation. First-degree holders in disciplines other than education are accepted.
The MLIS program will also consider applicants with a Second class lower degree in any social sciences, humanities, science, or technology subjects.
Admission may be considered for those with a third-class degree and a PGD in computer science, library and information science, or information management.
A pass degree with three years of relevant work experience is allowed for the Postgraduate Diploma in English.
Candidates must have credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, and one other subject at the WASCE, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE O’L level if they desire to pursue business education at the Master or doctoral level.
They must also possess an education certificate. Those who earned their first degrees in subjects other than education must complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Education (PGDBED).
Candidates with a background in early childhood education or pre-primary and primary education are required for graduate-level coursework in childhood education.
Candidates specializing in any other teaching subject must hold both an Early Childhood Education Diploma and a Certificate in Education from a reputed university.
A credit pass in mathematics at the WAEC, GCE, or NECO Ordinary Level is required for science and other mathematics-related courses.
Nigerian applicants for postgraduate admission must have a document from the NYSC Directorate proving their discharge from, exemption from, or exclusion from the service.

How to Apply for TASUED Postgraduate Admission Form
NOTE: All Nigerian applicants for Postgraduate admissions must possess National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Discharge/ Exemption/Exclusion certificate from the NYSC Directorate.
Candidates must submit their applications online and pay a $15k (N15,000) application fee using a Mastercard or a VISA ATM card. (After making a payment, print your receipt.)
Use https://my.tasued.edu.ng/admission as the application address, then choose the relevant Postgraduate program.
Complete the online application form by following the instructions step by step. Along with the completed application form, you must also upload and submit electronically the following necessary documents.
- Certificates for the ‘O’ level exams WASCE/NECO/NABTEB/SSC/GCE
- HND certificate, bachelor’s degree, and additional certificates.
- Certificate of NYSC Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion (for Nigerian Candidates).
- If applicable, a marriage certificate or proof of a name change.
- Birth certificate, age certification, and passport photo
Referees’ Report
Three referees familiar with the student’s academic performance must complete forms for confidential reports made available online.
Candidates are recommended to ask their referees to fill up and submit their reports online by four weeks following the deadline for form submission.
Academic Transcripts
Only by four weeks after the deadline for the submission of applications should candidates ask their former institutions to send the academic transcripts of their pertinent degrees or diplomas.
This will be sent to the Secretary, The Postgraduate College via tpc@tasued.edu.ng. (Each document that must be presented should include the applicant’s full name, application form number, and intended course of study.)
