This is to inform the general public and all prospective students of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) that the Department of Education & Islamic Studies Admission requirements have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education & Islamic Studies include the following:
- Five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Islamic Studies, and three (3) other relevant subjects.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Islamic Studies/Arabic and two (2) other Social Science or Arts subjects
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Islamic Studies if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- NCE merit in Islamic Studies and Education.
- ‘A’ Level passes in Arabic/ Islamic Studies and other relevant subjects.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA for the 2025/2026 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
