This is to let all UNIBEN students know that the resumption dates for the next semester’s academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic year have been announced.
UNIBEN Resumption Date
The University of Benin Senate modified the institution’s 2025/2026 academic calendar and approved Sunday, October 23, 2025, as the date for students to return to residential halls.
Lectures are slated to resume on October 24th, after the second semester was shortened for eight months due to the recently suspended strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The semester will last till December 23rd.
Meanwhile, online registration for new students admitted for the 2025/2026 academic year begins on December 2nd.
