The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Accountancy/Accounting include Five SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
Five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any other two (2) relevant subjects.
For NBC holders, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice, and Secretarial Duties.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics plus any Social Science subject
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Accountancy/Accounting if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, and Geography.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIJOS accepts;
- Passes at IJMB in at least two (2) subjects, one (1) of which must be in Accounting, Economics, or Business Management.
- ND upper credit in Financial studies.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIJOS for the 2025/2026 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 180 or above in your JAMB result.
