This is to notify all University of Lagos (UNILAG) students that the institution’s administration has made public the resumption date for the completion of the first semester 2025/2026 academic session.
UNILAG Resumption Date
The first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year will begin on Monday, October 24, 2025, according to the University of Lagos administration.
Following the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) decision to call off their strike, the University had to review its academic calendar for the academic year 2025/2026.
It should be recalled that on Monday, February 14, 2025, academic staff at federal institutions, led by the ASUU, initiated a national strike. As a result, teaching activities at all federal universities, including the University of Lagos, were suspended.
The new academic calendar for the 2025/2026 school year states that classes will start on Monday, October 24, and last for four weeks.
All levels and faculties will have first-semester exams between Monday, November 28, and Saturday, December 10, 2025.
