The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has attained comprehensive accreditation from the NUC for its Medicine and Surgery program, 18 additional academic programs within the College of Medicine, and five faculties of the University.
This official endorsement is communicated through a letter dated April 14, 2025, directed to the Vice-Chancellor, and endorsed by the Executive Secretary of the NUC.
The letter, facilitated by the Director of the Accreditation Commission, specifies that the granted full accreditation holds validity for the next five years.
This accreditation outcome results from a thorough evaluation and validation process, encompassing the assessment of staff resources and the availability of training facilities to ensure high-quality education to proficient students in their respective fields.

Professor Abdulkarim Saho Mohammed, the Vice-Chancellor, thanked the university’s staff and students for the significant achievement.

Acknowledging the accreditation of the medical program as a substantial achievement, Professor Mohammed emphasized that it necessitates a collective effort from staff and students.
He urged them to intensify their endeavors to position the university’s MBBS program among the nation’s best.
The Vice-Chancellor extended appreciation to the Academic Planning Directorate for their diligent efforts and continuous commitment, highlighting their instrumental role in ensuring the success of the accreditation process.
