How FUPRE’s Aggregate Score Formula Differs
Unlike many Nigerian universities that mark their Post-UTME out of 100 and divide it by 2, FUPRE marks its Post-UTME screening out of 50 and adds it straight into the formula, without any division. The full formula is:
- Divide your JAMB score (out of 400) by 8. This gives you a maximum of 50 points.
- Take your Post-UTME score (out of 50) as it is, no division needed.
- Add the two together. That’s your aggregate score, out of a possible 100.
Say a candidate scored 270 in JAMB and 35 in FUPRE’s Post-UTME:
270 ÷ 8 = 33.75
33.75 + 35 = 68.75
That candidate’s aggregate score would be 68.75 out of a possible 100. FUPRE generally expects candidates to score at least 30 out of 50 in the Post-UTME itself to be considered.

FUPRE doesn’t publish one uniform cut-off for every course, but candidates generally need a minimum UTME score of around 200 to be considered at all. - A letter of good conduct from your village head, or a civil servant not below Grade Level 10
