    Admission Requirements

    Candidates hoping to make OSPOLY their academic home must adhere to the following:

    • Hold a National Diploma (ND) in the desired discipline with at least a Lower Credit from an NBTE-accredited institution.
    •  Possess a minimum of ONE year post-ND industrial work experience.

    Special Consideration: Candidates with an ordinary Pass Grade in the ND and a minimum of TWO years post-ND industrial work experience may also be considered.

    Specific Entry Requirements

    HND Programmes in the Faculty of Science

    Science Laboratory Technology Programmes:

    1. Two-Year Higher National Diploma Programme in Science Laboratory Technology:

    •  Chemistry option.
    •  Biochemistry option.
    •  Microbiology option.
    •  Environmental Biology option.

     2. Two-Year Higher National Diploma Programme in Food Technology.

     3. Two-Year Higher National Diploma Programme in Statistics.

    Entry Requirements

    Science Laboratory Technology (Chemistry Option)

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, and Chemistry
    • Choose any two: Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Geography, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, Economics/Commerce, and Further Mathematics.

    Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology Option)

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, and Biology.
    • Choose any two: Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics/Commerce, Further Mathematics, and ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies.

    Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry Option)

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry.
    • Choose any one: Physics, Food and Nutrition, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, and Further Mathematics.

    Science Laboratory Technology (Environmental Biology Option)

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    •  Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, and Biology.
    •  Choose any two: Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics/Commerce, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, and Further Mathematics.

    Food Technology

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology/Agricultural Science.
    • Choose any one: Physics, Economics/Commerce, Statistics, Food and Nutrition, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, Geography, and Technical Drawing.

    Statistics

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    •  Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, and one of the Basic Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
    • Choose any two: Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Commerce, Geography, Biology/Agricultural Science, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, Government/History/Civic Education, Statistics, Typewriting, and Food and Nutrition.

    HND in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology

    1. Two-Year HND Program in Mass Communication.
    2.  Two-Year HND Program in Office Technology and Management (formerly Secretarial Studies).
    3.  Two-Year HND Program in Computer Science.
    Entry Requirements

    Mass Communication

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English.
    • Choose any other two from Economics, Commerce, Government/Civic Education, Geography, History, Principles of Account/Financial Accounting/Book-Keeping, Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Agricultural Science, CRS/IRS, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, and any Nigerian Language.

    Office Technology and Management

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics.
    • Choose any other three from Business Methods, Typewriting, Shorthand, Literature in English, Government/Civic Education, Principles of Account/Financial Accounting/Book-Keeping, Office Practice, History, CRS/IRS, Commerce, Economics, Geography, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Agricultural Science, and Yoruba or any other Nigerian Language.

    Computer Science

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: Mathematics, English Language, Physics.
    • Choose any other two from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Statistics, ICT/Data processing/Computer Studies, Economics/Commerce, and Geography.

     2. Two-Year Higher National Diploma Programme in Computer Engineering Technology.

    Entry Requirements

    Electrical/Electronics Technology and Computer Engineering Technology

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
    • Choose any one from Biology/Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, Geography, Technical Drawing/Engineering Drawing, Wood/Metal Work, Economics/Commerce, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, and other trade-related subjects.

    Civil Engineering

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.

    Architectural Technology

    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics, Physics.
    • Choose any two from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and more.

    Estate Management

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: Mathematics, English language, Economics, a basic science (Physics/ Chemistry/Biology).
    • Choose any one from Geography, Technical Drawing, and more.

    Urban and Regional Planning

    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: Mathematics, English Language, Geography/Economics.
    • Choose any two from Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and more.

    HND Programme in the Faculty of Art and Industrial Design

    1. Two-Year Higher National Diploma Programme in Art and Design

    Entry Requirements
    • For Art and Design (Graphic Design Option and Textile Design Option):
    • A Minimum of 5 Credits in GCE, WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
    • Compulsory: English Language, Mathematics.
    • Choose any three from Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Fine Arts/Visual Art/Technical Drawing, and more.
