This is to inform all the newly admitted students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) that the institution’s management has approved the 2024/2025 Orientation Programme for fresh students.
The UNILAG Orientation programme is one of the traditional activities of the university to welcome freshers and inform them of what goes around in the School.

In UNILAG orientation, the VC will discuss the school policy, dress code, matriculation ceremony date, and more.
The school management usually approves the UNILAG orientation date, including Principal Officers, Deans of Faculties, Directors, and Heads of Departments.

The University of Lagos freshers’ orientation programme has been scheduled to hold as follows:
Day 1 – Monday, January 10, 2025, at J.F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium and Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall – Campus Tour & Interactive Session
Day 2 – Tuesday, January 11, 2025, at Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall and University Main Library – Interactive Session & Tour of the University Main Library
Day 3 – Wednesday, January 12, 2025 – Interactive session at Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall
Day 4 – Thursday, January 13, 2025 – Entertainment (Talent Hunt/Dance competition/Singing competition, etc.) – Mr and Miss JAMBITE at J. F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium

- At 9.00 a.m., there will be Breakfast with Principal Officers of the University at Grand Finale.
- Matriculation Ceremony is at 11.00 a.m.
- Special Jumat Service for Muslim freshers at the University of Lagos Mosque at 1.00 p.m.
Day 6 – Sunday, January 16, 2022 –Special Worship Service for Christian freshers at the University of Lagos Chapel (Chapel of Christ Our Light)
The Vice-Chancellor has declared Monday, 10th January to Sunday, 16th January 2025, a lecture-free week for fresh students ONLY to enable them to attend and participate in the Orientation Programme. It is mandatory for all freshers; attendance will be taken.
