    UNN Department of Urban & Regional Planning Admission Requirement 2025/2026

    This is to notify the general public and all aspiring University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) students that the Department of Urban & Regional Planning admission requirements has been published.

    The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

    About The University of Nigeria

    The University of Nigeria, commonly referred to as UNN, is a federal university in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria.

    Founded by Nnamdi Azikiwe in 1955 and formally opened on 7 October 1960, the University of Nigeria has four campuses – Nsukka, Enugu, and Ituku-Ozalla – all located in Enugu State and Aba campus in Abia State.

    The University of Nigeria was the first full-fledged indigenous and first autonomous university in Nigeria modelled upon the American educational system. It is the first land-grant university in Africa and one of Nigeria’s five most reputed universities.

    Entry Requirements

    O’Level Subject Combination

    The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Urban and Regional Planning include the following:

    • English Language
    • Mathematics
    • Geography, and any two subjects from below:
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Economics
    • Government
    • Biology
    • Fine Arts
    • History
    • IRK/CRK
    • Social Studies
    • Technical Drawing

    JAMB UTME Subject Combination

    Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.

    • English Language
    • Mathematics
    • Geography and any one subject from below:
    • Economics
    • Physics
    • Chemistry

    Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

    UNN requires Mathematics and any two (2) subjects of Economics, Government, Geography, Fine arts, Physics, Chemistry, Biology Agricultural Science.

    Direct Entry Requirement

    These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Urban and Regional Planning if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

    • Two A/L passes in Geography and Mathematics.
    • ND/HND (Upper Credit) in Town Planning or related discipline plus UTME requirements are accepted.

    JAMB Score

    All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNN for the 2025/2026 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum of 160 or above score in your JAMB result.
