Terms of Use
These are the rules for using Acadanow, written as plainly as we can manage.
Accepting these terms
Acadanow is an education website published at acadanow.com. The site was formerly branded Realmina. When you open any page, read an article, subscribe to our emails or buy something from us, you accept the terms on this page.
If you do not accept them, please stop using the site. These terms work together with our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer.
Using Acadanow means you agree to the rules below. If a rule does not work for you, the right move is to stop using the site.
Who may use Acadanow
Acadanow is written for students, parents, teachers and anyone following Nigerian education news. Much of our audience is in secondary school, so a good number of our readers are under 18.
You may read the site at any age. If you are under 18, please get a parent or guardian involved before you subscribe to our emails or pay for anything. Any purchase should be made by an adult, using an adult’s payment details and with their permission.
Permitted and prohibited use
You may read our articles, print a page for your own study, share a link to any page, and quote a short extract as long as you credit Acadanow and link back to the original page.
You may not do any of the following:
- Copy, republish or resell our articles, past questions or ebooks, in whole or in large part, on another website, blog, Telegram channel or WhatsApp group.
- Scrape the site automatically, or send traffic designed to slow it down or knock it offline.
- Try to break into any part of the site, a user account or our servers.
- Upload viruses, malware or anything else harmful.
- Post fraudulent offers, fake admission or scholarship claims, or anything that misleads other readers.
- Use the site to break Nigerian law, or to harass, threaten or defame anyone.
- Remove our name, byline or copyright notice from anything you are allowed to share.
We may block access, remove content or close an account where we believe one of these rules has been broken.
Accounts and email signups
Some parts of the site may ask you to register or to give an email address. Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us quickly if you think someone else is using it.
Our newsletter is sent using Amazon Simple Email Service. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough to stop them. You can also email us and ask to be removed. How we handle your email address is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Our content and who owns it
The articles, guides, ebooks, page layouts, logo and original graphics on Acadanow belong to us, or are used by us with permission. They are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
Some images, logos, forms and official notices on the site belong to the institutions or bodies they came from. We use them to illustrate the news and claim no ownership of them. If you own such material and want it removed or credited differently, write to us and we will act on it.
Comments and anything you send us
You are welcome to comment, ask questions, correct us or send a tip. Keep it civil and keep it relevant. We do not allow insults, tribal or religious abuse, spam, referral links, exam malpractice offers, or adverts for agents who promise admission for a fee.
We may edit, refuse or delete any comment, and we are not obliged to explain why. Comments reflect the views of the people who write them, not ours.
When you post a comment or send us material, you give us permission to publish it on the site and keep it there. Please do not send us anything confidential, and do not send work that belongs to someone else.
Comment freely, but no abuse, no spam and no “pay me and I will get you admission” offers. What you post, we can publish.
Links to other websites
We link to university portals, examination bodies, scholarship sponsors and news sources so you can check things at the source. Those sites are run by other people. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or how they treat your data.
Once you leave Acadanow, the other site’s own terms and privacy policy apply. Read them before you enter personal details or pay any money.
Advertising on Acadanow
The site carries advertising, including adverts served by Google AdSense and its partners. Adverts help us keep the site free to read.
We do not choose every advert you see, and an advert appearing on a page is not a recommendation from us. If an advert makes an offer, deal with the advertiser directly and check them out first. Our Privacy Policy explains the cookies and data used in advertising.
Buying our digital products
We sell digital products, such as our scholarship guide ebook. Prices are shown on the product page and payment is taken online through a payment processor. We do not store your full card details.
Delivery is digital. After a successful payment, the file or the download link is sent to the email address you gave at checkout, so please type it carefully. Check your spam or promotions folder if it does not arrive.
If delivery fails, or the file is damaged or will not open, email contact@acadanow.com and we will resend it.

Refunds
Because our products are digital and delivered at once, we look at refunds case by case rather than applying a blanket rule.
To ask for one, email contact@acadanow.com from the address you used at checkout. Include the product name, the date, your payment reference and what went wrong. We will reply and tell you what we can do.
We will refund you where you were charged twice, where you were charged but never received the product, or where the product is not what the page said it was.
Where we approve a refund, it goes back through the same payment method. How long it takes to show in your account depends on your bank.
Email us from the address you paid with, tell us what happened, and we will sort it out. Double charges and undelivered files are refunded.
No warranties
Acadanow is provided as it is. We work hard to get admission requirements, cut-off marks, fees, deadlines and resumption dates right, but we cannot promise that every detail is accurate, complete or current.
We do not promise that the site will always be available, free of errors, or free of viruses. Nothing on the site is legal, financial or professional advice.
Always confirm anything important with the school, the examination body or the scholarship sponsor before you act on it. Our Disclaimer explains this in full and forms part of these terms.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Acadanow is not liable for any loss you suffer from using the site or relying on what you read here. That includes a missed deadline, a rejected application, a wasted fee, lost data or lost profit.
We are also not liable for anything done by an advertiser, a linked website or another reader. Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if anything, in the twelve months before the claim.
Indemnity
If you break these terms or break the law while using the site, and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
Changes to the site and to these terms
We add, change and retire pages and features as the site grows, and we may stop offering a product at any time.
We may also update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be flagged on the site. Using Acadanow after an update means you accept the new version, so it is worth checking back now and then.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute about them will be handled by the Nigerian courts.
Before it gets that far, please write to us. Most problems are a misunderstanding and we would rather fix it by email.
