Admission, fee and scholarship data

We check our figures before we publish them and we update pages when something changes. Even so, this kind of data moves fast.

Schools revise fees mid-session. Departmental cut-off marks change from one year to the next. Scholarship deadlines get extended, or quietly pulled. A portal opens a week earlier than announced. Sometimes two official sources disagree with each other, and we have to pick the one that looks more reliable.

So treat every figure here as a guide to what to expect, and confirm it on the institution’s own website or at its admissions office before you pay money, travel or submit an application.

Where our information comes from

Our articles are built from institutional websites and admission portals, notices from examination bodies, scholarship sponsors and their partners, published news reports, and material readers send in.

We prefer official sources and we say where a figure came from when we can. We cannot audit those sources, and we cannot control it when one of them is wrong or out of date. Where a point is unconfirmed, we try to say so on the page rather than present it as settled.

We are independent

Acadanow is an independent publisher. We are not part of, owned by, endorsed by or speaking for any university, polytechnic, college of education or secondary school.

We are also not connected to JAMB, WAEC, NECO or NABTEB, or to any government ministry or scholarship sponsor, unless a page states a partnership in clear words.

Names, logos and acronyms belonging to these bodies appear on the site only to identify who the information is about. They remain the property of their owners.

No guarantee of admission or scholarship

Reading our guides, following our checklists or buying our ebook does not get you admitted anywhere and does not win you a scholarship. We have no say in any selection decision.

Admission and scholarship outcomes rest entirely with the institution or the sponsor, based on their own criteria. We cannot upgrade a result, change a score, influence a list or follow up an application for you.

Watch out for scams

Nobody at Acadanow will ever ask you to pay for admission, for a scholarship slot or for a place on a list. If someone claims to be us and asks for that kind of money, they are not us. Please report it to contact@acadanow.com.

Pay fees only through the official channel named by the school or sponsor.

Links to other websites

We link out to portals, application forms and source documents so you can verify things yourself. Those sites belong to other people.

We do not control them, we do not vet them continuously, and we are not responsible for their content, their availability or how they handle your data. A link is a pointer, not an endorsement. Once you click through, that site’s own terms apply.

Advertising and sponsored content

Acadanow carries advertising, including adverts served by Google AdSense and its partners. Advertising is what keeps the site free.

We do not pick every advert that appears, and an advert is not a recommendation from us. Check any advertiser before you pay them anything.

Where a post is paid for, sponsored or contains an affiliate link, we label it on the page. A payment never changes the facts we report.

Found an error? Tell us

If a figure on this site is wrong or out of date, we want to hear about it. Corrections from readers are one of the main ways our pages stay accurate.

Email contact@acadanow.com with the subject line Correction, or use our contact page. Please include:

• The link to the page, and the exact line or figure that is wrong.
• What the correct information is.
• Where you got it from, such as a link to the school’s notice, a portal screenshot or an official letter.
• The date on that source, if it shows one.

We review every report. Where the correction checks out, we fix the page and update its date. Where we cannot confirm it, we may flag the figure as disputed until the institution clarifies.
