Australian Awards Scholarship, also known as Australian Development Scholarship, was created to provide students from developing countries and Indo-pacific countries with opportunities to study in Australian Universities and other educational Institutions under the scholarship scheme.
About Australia Awards Scholarships
The programmes available under this scholarship are related to the participating countries’ peculiar needs.
The programmes are cut across the different degree levels (undergraduate and postgraduate degrees).
Eligible students must be from the following continents; Asia, Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
The scholarship covers the following expenses of the awardees; tuition fees, returning flight tickets, health insurance, allowances, etc.
Scholarship Criteria
- Be 18 years before 1st February 2026
- Must be a citizen from any of the participating countries
- Must not have a permanent Australian residency
- Must not be married or engaged to an Australian resident
- Must not be a military personnel
- Must not have a criminal record
- Meet the criteria set by your home country
- Must live in your home country
- Must meet up with the admission criteria of the institution
- Must meet up with the criteria for a student visa
- Applicants must be transparent
