By aiding them with their education expenditures, the Canadian Journalism Scholarship seeks to promote and assist all Canadian students who have a passion for journalism.

Criteria
Students that exhibit interest in data journalism are eligible for the Investintech – CAJ Data Journalism Scholarship.
The following requirements must be satisfied by eligible students:
- Concentrating on journalism and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

- Strong data analytic skills, along with good storytelling skills, will be demonstrated in the winning proposal.
- Applications must contain:
- An illustration of a piece of journalism that demonstrates the use of data skills
- A justification of your actions, including what you did, how you did it, and the tools you utilized.
- For contributions that were part of a group project, candidates must describe their role, the abilities they utilized to carry it out, and the particular passages of the tale (or stories) that their contribution influenced.
- A project that you would like to work on, especially if you have more experience in data journalism.
- Include a link to a dataset that demonstrates the merits of the story, as well as a link to another story that serves as an example or an inspiration for you as a journalist.
- A letter of reference from an editor or instructor.
