The Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2025/2026 is a scholarship for international undergraduate and master’s students. This scholarship will pay for your entire or 50% of your tuition.

Deakin University recognises students who consistently achieve high academic standards and can significantly contribute to the university and its communities.
Students who complete the programme will be expected to enrol in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Programme.
Unsuccessful Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship applicants will be automatically assessed for the Deakin International Scholarship.

Scholarship Coverage
Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship will cover the following:
- Your tuition costs, in full or in part.
- Participation in the Professional Excellence Programme (VCPEP) of the Vice-Chancellor. As part of the DVCIS scholarship, students will be expected to enrol in this programme.
- Priority placement for on-campus housing (at own expense and subject to availability).
Eligibility Criteria for Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible for the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship:
- English is the required language.
- All countries in the world are eligible.
- Be a prospective overseas student at Deakin University for a coursework degree.
- You must be eligible to study at Deakin University.
- Previous investigations yielded an 85% average (or comparable).
Note; selecting successful applicants for the limited number of scholarships will be tough, and scores over the given minimum standards may be required.
To apply for the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, please follow the steps below:
- You must supply the following documents:
- A completed Deakin International Scholarship Program application form (PDF, 536KB).
- A 300-word personal statement
- With two references who can speak to your community involvement and/or leadership abilities
- A completed Deakin University application, including academic transcripts.
- Please email your completed application form to Deakin International Admissions.
- You may also be invited to an interview.

- Your personal statement must be prepared entirely by you and must reflect your personal opinions. It should include the following:
- An explanation of why you want to attend Deakin University.
- An outline of your extracurricular activities and employment experience (paid or volunteer).
- Why do you believe you would be an excellent ambassador for Deakin University?

- Applying for a scholarship entails more than just meeting the eligibility requirements. Consider why you desire a scholarship, how it will benefit you, and what you can offer the Deakin community.
- Deakin International will contact successful applicants within six weeks of their application.
- Because scholarships are subject to international quotas, students should submit their applications as soon as possible to increase their chances of success. It is advised that students apply for scholarships at least one month before beginning their studies at Deakin.
