The Maltina Teacher of the Year Award has officially opened applications and is accessible to teachers from all secondary schools in Nigeria, both private and public. The submission deadline is July 22, 2025.

Are you a public or private secondary school teacher in Nigeria? Do you consider yourself to be the future Maltina Teacher of the Year and deserving of induction into the Hall of Fame? The Maltina Teacher of the Year 2025 competition now accepts entries.
The Maltina Teacher of the Year Award honours and recognises outstanding teachers in Nigeria. Any secondary school teacher nationwide is eligible to participate in the initiative.
The 36 states and the FCT will be honoured as State Champions, and after further assessment, the National Winners will be selected from these State Champions. Each federation state and the FCT will produce a champion, from which the overall winner will be determined.
Maltina Teacher of the Year Award Prizes

- N6,500,000
- Capacity development training
- Fully furnished block of classrooms or computer laboratory.
1st Runner-up
- N1,500,000.
2nd Runner-up
- N1,250,000.
State Champion
- N500,000 each.
